What did I buy this year during the 618 sales?

Non-commercial orders, buy as needed, beware of consumerism traps.

This year’s 618; oh no, it should be the entire month of June, I bought or received quite a few things, some due to the forced upgrade of old devices, and I just wanted to jot down how much I spent during this year’s 618. Essentially, it’s a kind of sharing summary. I actually wanted to write a diary, but this content is a bit long, so never mind...

iPhone SE3#

This is a replacement for my mom's iPhone 6. You heard it right, the iPhone 6, which WeChat abandoned over a year ago for upgrades, and iOS has also stopped at 12 because the screen touch is no longer responsive; it can't register touches in the top left corner, but the top right corner works. It's truly puzzling. I took the opportunity to replace this old device, purchasing the 64G version for 2588 yuan on JD, and it arrived the next morning after buying it in the afternoon. The packaging was very "eco-friendly," just the phone and a lightning to type-c data cable, along with a card; it really is small, just the same size. Upon receiving it, I found that I couldn't sync some data, whether due to the version being too old or something else, but thankfully iCloud had a backup.

There's not much else to say, the A15 is fast, and I estimate it will be outdated soon, haha...

ASUS FA506#

This laptop was a bargain I found on Xianyu, the total price for the screen replacement was 3520 yuan, and it has an AMD Ryzen7 4800H, two 8G dual-channel memory, and a GeForce 1660Ti. Even if I need to replace the screen, it’s still worth this price, not to mention it’s usable for now, and the color adjustment isn’t too affected.

The gaming performance and professional software currently have no major issues, and Windows 11 is running without the R5 1600 card. The wireless card will need to be replaced with an ax200 later...

I’ve already made a video about it, which goes into more detail than this.

Beikong J4125 Soft Router#

This is a Beikong J4125 soft router that Walnut just bought. A month ago, I also picked up a J4105, which is the same kind of junk as mine, but the seller had removed the VGA and COM ports. Due to insufficient network ports and the 2.5G issue, he provided this one. I bought this soft router on Taobao for 633 yuan, which has 4 ports and an Intel i225 network card; however, after setting it up, I found that two of the ports were faulty. When I plugged in two ports, the problem became apparent, so I contacted customer service to return it and got a different casing, but the hard drive works the same.

I haven't made a video yet; I'll take my time.

QC3.0 Charger && USB Fan#

I’ve always wanted to buy a fast charger for use outside, and one day I saw a very cheap QC3.0 charger on Taobao. I checked the store and found they also sold similar brand stock chargers. I bought it for 12 yuan including shipping. It feels like it doesn’t have 18W; I don’t know if it’s a phone issue or if I’m just used to 22.5W fast charging. I’ll try it again when I have time, but it’s definitely better than 5W.

I also bought a USB fan to connect to the soft router. This is a 12cm case fan from an NZXT case that broke. It was very loud when placed vertically because it was out of oil, but lying on the soft router works well for cooling, which is quite comfortable, and it was only 2.1 yuan with free shipping.

Xiaomi 20L Backpack && BANQ TF Card#

This Xiaomi 20L backpack was purchased on PDD. I originally really disliked this platform, but this backpack was only 30 yuan, just enough to fit the chosen one. I bought it, and it’s really big; it can hold other things, and it should be similar in size to the smallest capacity I bought before.

The BANQ 64G TF card was purchased on JD, and it’s a collaboration with JD JOY. It looks very cheap and is still a monitoring card. After using a coupon, it was 27.9 yuan. I’m not sure if it’s genuine since it’s from JD self-operated, but I plugged it directly into the monitor for recording. Previously, a 32G card could only record for 3 days, but now with 64G, it can record for about a week.

This monitor is also quite magical; while others struggled for half a day with firmware to connect to Wi-Fi, I tinkered with the firmware a couple of days ago, changed the region, and it worked fine. It’s still the same firmware; I’ll post about it later and test its stability.

Thunder God Wireless Mouse#

I mainly bought it for the laptop. Although the touchpad works, it feels sluggish. I often switch the Logitech G102 between two computers. One day, I saw a gaming wireless mouse for 69 yuan on JD, and it also offered 1000 beans, although the beans hadn’t arrived by the time I was writing this. I don’t know if it’s playing a “highest” word game.

After buying this mouse, I didn’t test it much. It’s heavier and longer than the G102, and I didn’t feel any latency while gaming. The white part that touches the palm is quite comfortable, but other areas feel a bit cheap, so I’ll need some time to get used to it. However, I ended up buying it for 37.7 yuan.

After a month of use, I feel it’s okay; the DPI adjustment is particularly inconvenient. It would be better to have the DPI setting under the mouse, as it’s not intuitive and the workmanship is quite rough. However, the 1000 JD beans discount makes the price acceptable.

Lafei Circle Iron HiFi Earphones#

Because my previous Xiaomi Circle Iron Pro had a copper wire leak, I’ve actually gotten used to this earphone. I checked the platform prices, and they are still at the level I bought three years ago. I went to look at the famous Qianyun and Yuandao stores and found a decent pair of earphones at a price I could accept. The description was a bit ambiguous, but I still saw the shadow of monitoring earphones? I bought a pair of earphones and a silver-plated cable. The earphones are slightly large, and I can tell they would be tiring to wear for long periods, but they are still around-the-ear style. However, I didn’t notice much difference in bass and treble, but the details are indeed stronger than the Xiaomi Circle Iron Pro. Gaming is about the same; it’s just okay.

After using them for a month, I personally feel the sound quality is quite good, but wearing them for a long time makes my ears tired, and I often want to take them off. I usually wear them while gaming, but I should take more breaks for my ears.

This month, I bought quite a few new items, and it feels mixed. It’s just enough to use, so I’ll leave it at that. Bye-bye.
